I finally learned how to add audio to this blog! yey!

now i can share with you all of ziggy's experimenting with his voice.

Music to my ears. The most wonderful stress reliever... its even less than a minute but it relieves hours and hours worth of stress. :D

I'll be changing the audio files so just keep coming back for more of his cute voice and infectious laughter.. (and his dad's hehehe)

looky looky at this cute little baby! :D hahah he's hip and he's hop.. he's my little JT! :p

We were looking for some cheap long-sleeved shirts his size about 3 weeks ago and we were only lucky to find 3! (can you believe nobody here makes much long-sleeved shirts for babies?? i wonder why..) Anyway, this last one we found was the LAST piece. They don't have any bigger size, but hubby wanted to get it (it has SOCCER printed on the front and hubby's a soccer fan/player) i thought it would fit him at least for a month..

Can't believe how fast kids grow! I guess this might be the first AND LAST time he'll be wearing this..

he's still cute :p very cute! while we were taking pictures of him, we were trying to make him smile.. and he was just staring. after hubby took this picture, he LAUGHED! a SINISTER LAUGH! sort of like saying "hahah! fooled you again! now I'm smiling!" Sure enough.. we couldn't catch him smile anymore after that! *sigh* this little rascal of mine...

Balikbayan Box

Last weekend, we went to Ziggy's Mima ( short for Mini Mama -- that's what his paternal grandma wants to be called hehehe)anyway, when we got there, there was this big balikbayan box... and Mima just said -- This is all for you Ziggy!

Ziggy's paternal grandpa sent him stuff.. and i mean a lot of stuff from the US! there are toys, clothes, gadgets (monitors and carriers and all those things WE all never had :p ), oh and a lot of BLANKETS! some were new some were hand me downs from ziggy's second cousins there..

It was more fun for us than him of course. What does he know about a balikbayan after all?

Word-Up!

Ziggy's barely 2 1/2 month old... but maaaannn.. he's grown a lot..

From our last pediatrician's visit.. these are his stats:

Weight: --- 12.9lbs (birth was 7.6lbs, 1st month 8.7lbs)

Length: --- 22.7in (birth was 18.4)

he's able to hold his head for short periods of time especially when he's lying on his tummy.. he can see more than just shadows and lights and patterns. he can recognize faces :)

He's been the most talkative human being in our house lately. He doesn't just coo now.. he talks! well.. of course they're mainly baby talk.. but it's amazingly cute! most kids don't start their baby-talking until they're around 3 or 4 months. But I'm proud to say I've got a smart kid!

I've brought him with me to my office when i need to get and do something real quick. Or after going to his pediatrician, we drop by the office to visit his fans -- my team. And everytime he's here, he's like the boss of everyone. He talks to anyone who talks to him and greets everybody with a HUGE and CHARMING Smile. it's as if he knows what he's doing...

I keep telling them.. "My baby's got you all under his control.." They panic when he cries.. they all start trying to baby talk him.. or make him smile.. give him goodies or whatever. Now that's my baby! heheh And he doesn't care if this face doesn't look too familiar.. as long as this face is smiling at him.. he will smile back and talk a bit..

Oh, and this crib mobile my team gave him for his baby shower -- he's loving it.. its got three stuffed animals in it and they go up and down the twirling mobile... and everytime he hears the music playing (or sometimes just the sound of the knob turning) he looks up and smiles and talks to his "jungle friends" (well the box says "jumpin jungle mobile" hehehe).

He got his 2nd shot of vaccines today by the way.. He is again my brave little prince! his first shot when he was only a month old. he cried like.. a second and he's quiet again.. then today.. he was sleeping while the doctor was giving him the shot.. but he didn't care. He only started crying when he was awaken by all the pressing on his thighs where the cotton with alcohol is.. I think he got irritated that we woke him up.. hehehe

When we got home though.. he was crying a lot! he couldn't find a comfy position for himself.. that i had to move him here and there to help him get into a comfy position. and when he did.. well.. it wasn't much comfortable for me! but it's ok.. just want him to be comfy and AOK after that shot.. he's been such a good boy and he doesn't deserve any discomfort..

Alright.. that's it for now.. pictures are going to be updated again soon.. just a few shots we took one night when we were sooooo gigil with this boy :D

sinister

This from my husband's note while i was sleeping...

while you were sleeping, after i ate my lunch, ziggy was in the sala in the
stroller being his usual wordy daldal smiley self. so while i was exchanging
grins and coos with him, i was imitating his facial expressions as well. then he
slowly squinted his eyes, crumpled his nose and opened his mouth in preparation
for a would-be monumental sneeze. So i did the same thing; squinted my eyes,
crumpled my nose and faked a sneeze. only problem is, i didn't seem to hear HIS
sneeze. so i opened my eyes, and i saw him staring wide-eyed at me with the
blankest of expressions. i said to him, "where's the sneeze ziggy boy?"then he
grinned the broadest grin i've seen on him yet and he let out the most sinister
of giggles.tuts, we've spawned a monster.an incredibly cute, deviously devilish
monster prankster to be.

Oh he's a little monster alright. Just imagine the things he's going to do weeks, months and YEARS from now!

BUT.. we're Proud Parents. More than proud as a MAT-TER-OF-FACT!

Happy 2nd Month Birthday!

Ziggy's 2 month old today September 1.

I'm still thinking if I should buy something for us as a little celebration ... nevertheless.. my baby's 2month old now. Time seems so fast AND slow at the same time...

Seems fast that my maternity leave's done.. that he's 2 months old already when it feels like yesterday I was just cradling him in my arms inside the hospital nursery, learning how to breastfeed him..

Seems slow that he's still considered a "newborn".. that i still can't carry him without supporting his neck.. that i still can't have cute kiddie conversations with him.

It feels just right though, that he's right here with us. Alive, smiling and responding to every stimuli. He laughs and coos everytime he hears us talk. He smiles A LOT. he cries when he's hungry or in any discomfort. He jerks when he's startled. makes this funny face when given his vitamins. kicks and coos and laughs when taking a bath. Sleeps when tired. Feeds when hungry.

Most of all... he makes all of us happy :D
